Description

Common Fig. A deciduous shrub with handsome foliage of large deeply lobed deep green leaves. Minute petalless flowers are contained in a hollowed-out receptacle; which enlarges to form edible fruit. Max Height 3m. Max Spread 4m. Fruits August to September. Full sun. Hardy. Skin irritant with sunlight. Back-fill with soil mixed with peat substitute and a suitable fertiliser.
