Pileostegia viburnoides (climbing hydrangea) is a member of the Hydrangeaceae family. This climbers exhibits a climbing growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Pileostegia viburnoides can reach an ultimate height of 4–8 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,south–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade,full sun,partial shade position.
