Hedera hibernica (Irish ivy) is a member of the Araliaceae family. This climbers exhibits a climbing growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Hedera hibernica can reach an ultimate height of 8–12 metres and a spread of 4–8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,east–facing,north–facing,west–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade,full sun,partial shade position.
