Product description & Growing guide

Salvia 'Blue Spire' (was Perovskia) (perovskia 'Blue Spire') is a member of the Lamiaceae family. This deciduous shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) and is hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. Many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk. It features a foliage fragrance.

When fully mature, Salvia 'Blue Spire' (was Perovskia) can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers east–facing or south–facing or west–facing aspect and exposed or sheltered positions. It thrives best in chalk or loam or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
