Tilia cordata (small-leaved lime) is a member of the Malvaceae family. This trees exhibits a growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H6 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Tilia cordata can reach an ultimate height of Over 12 metres and a spread of Wider than 8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,north–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
