Sorbus aucuparia (rowan) is a member of the Rosaceae family. This trees exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H6 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Sorbus aucuparia can reach an ultimate height of Over 12 metres and a spread of 4–8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,north–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure.
