Product description & Growing guide

Lavandula stoechas ssp. pedunculata (French lavender) is a member of the Lamiaceae family. This evergreen shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterised by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of half-hardy (unheated glasshouse/mild winter [-5 to 1ºc]) and is hardy in coastal/mild areas except in hard winters, though it is at risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good microclimate and can survive with artificial winter protection. It features a flower, foliage fragrance.

When fully mature, Lavandula stoechas ssp. pedunculata can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 m and a spread of 0.5–1 m. For optimal growth, it prefers a south–facing or west–facing aspect and a sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
