Heuchera micrantha var. diversifolia 'Palace Purple' (alum root 'Palace Purple') is a member of the Saxifragaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – very cold winter (-20 to -15ºc) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe. Many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Heuchera micrantha var. diversifolia 'Palace Purple' can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing or west–facing or east–facing or north–facing aspect and exposed or sheltered positions. It thrives best in loam or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
