Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' (skimmia 'Rubella') is a member of the Rutaceae family. This evergreen shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Skimmia japonica 'Rubella' can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a partial shade position.
