Geranium macrorrhizum (big-root cranesbill) is a member of the Geraniaceae family. This perennials exhibits a matforming growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Geranium macrorrhizum can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,south–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade,full sun,partial shade position.
