Euphorbia amygdaloides var. robbiae (Mrs Robb's bonnet) is a member of the Euphorbiaceae family. This perennial exhibits a suckering growth habit and is characterised by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Euphorbia amygdaloides var. robbiae can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full shade, full sun, or partial shade.
