Product description & Growing guide

Azalea 'Alaska' (canna 'Alaska') is a member of the Cannaceae family. This evergreen shrub exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of half-hardy – unheated glasshouse/mild winter (-5 to 1ºc) and is hardy in coastal / mild areas except in hard winters and at risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good microclimate. Can survive with artificial winter protection.

When fully mature, Azalea 'Alaska' can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing or west–facing aspect and sheltered positions. It thrives best in loam or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
