Digitalis grandiflora (large yellow foxglove) is a member of the Plantaginaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – very cold winter (-20 to -15ºc), and is hardy throughout the uk and northern europe. many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection. .

When fully mature, Digitalis grandiflora can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing, west–facing, east–facing, north–facing aspect and exposed, sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade, full sun, partial shade position.
