Persicaria polymorpha (alpine knotweed) is a member of the Polygonaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage.
When fully mature, Persicaria polymorpha can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing or west–facing or east–facing or south–facing aspect and exposed or sheltered positions. It thrives best in clay or loam soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
