Persicaria polymorpha (alpine knotweed) is a member of the Polygonaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage.
When fully mature, Persicaria polymorpha can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing, west–facing, east–facing, south–facing aspect and exposed, sheltered exposure. It thrives best in clay, loam soil types and should be placed in a full sun, partial shade position.
