Persicaria polymorpha (alpine knotweed) is a member of the Polygonaceae family. This perennials exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of and no significant fragrance.
When fully mature, Persicaria polymorpha can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,west–facing,east–facing,south–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in clay,loam soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
