Persicaria polymorpha (alpine knotweed) is a member of the Polygonaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage.
When fully mature, Persicaria polymorpha can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers a north–facing, west–facing, east–facing, or south–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in clay or loam soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
