Chamaerops excelsus (dwarf fan palm) is a member of the Arecaceae family. This evergreen shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H4 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Chamaerops excelsus can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in loam soil types and should be placed in a partial shade position.
