Kniphofia rooperi (Rooper's red-hot poker) is a member of the Asphodelaceae family. This perennials exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.
When fully mature, Kniphofia rooperi can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
