Tellima grandiflora (fringe cups) is a member of the Saxifragaceae family. This perennial exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – very cold winter (-20 to -15ºc), and is hardy throughout the uk and northern europe. many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection. .

When fully mature, Tellima grandiflora can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing, north–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk, loam, sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade, full sun, partial shade position.
