Rudbeckia maxima (great coneflower) is a member of the Asteraceae family. This perennials exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H6 and no significant fragrance.
When fully mature, Rudbeckia maxima can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers east–facing,south–facing,west–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
