Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii 'Goldsturm' (coneflower 'Goldsturm') is a member of the Asteraceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterised by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy (very cold winter [-20 to -15ºc]) and is hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe, with many plants grown in containers becoming damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Rudbeckia fulgida var. sullivantii 'Goldsturm' can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers a west–facing, south–facing, or east–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, or loam soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
