Product description & Growing guide

Cupressus sempervirens 'Pyramidalis' (Italian cypress Stricta Group) is a member of the Cupressaceae family. This conifer exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) and is hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. Many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk. It features a foliage fragrance.

When fully mature, Cupressus sempervirens 'Pyramidalis' can reach an ultimate height of over 12 metres and a spread of 2.5–4 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers an east–facing, north–facing, south–facing, or west–facing aspect and a sheltered position. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
