Phillyrea angustifolia (narrow-leaved mock privet) is a member of the Oleaceae family. This evergreen shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Phillyrea angustifolia can reach an ultimate height of 2.5–4 metres and a spread of 1.5–2.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
