Acer palmatum 'Skeeter's Broom' (Japanese maple 'Skeeter's Broom') is a member of the Sapindaceae family. This deciduous shrubs exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H6 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Acer palmatum 'Skeeter's Broom' can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 1.5–2.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure.
