Libertia chilensis (was Libertia grandiflora) (New Zealand satin flower) is a member of the Iridaceae family. This grasses exhibits a tufted growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H3 and no significant fragrance.
When fully mature, Libertia chilensis (was Libertia grandiflora) can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
