Trachelospermum jasminoides (star jasmine) is a member of the Apocynaceae family. This climber exhibits a climbing growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – average winter (-10 to -5ºc), and is hardy through most of the uk apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central / northerly locations. may suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. plants in pots are more vulnerable. .

When fully mature, Trachelospermum jasminoides can reach an ultimate height of 8–12 metres and a spread of 4–8 metres.
