Jasminum officinale f. affine (large-flowered jasmine) is a member of the Oleaceae family. This climbers exhibits a climbing growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Jasminum officinale f. affine can reach an ultimate height of 4–8 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,west–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
