Sarcococca confusa (sweet box) is a member of the Buxaceae family. This evergreen shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Sarcococca confusa can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing,east–facing,north–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade,partial shade position.
