Product description & Growing guide

Agapanthus 'Double Diamond' ® (African lily [Double Diamond]) is a member of the Amaryllidaceae family. This perennial exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of half-hardy – unheated glasshouse/mild winter (-5 to 1ºc) and is hardy in coastal / mild areas except in hard winters and at risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good microclimate. Can survive with artificial winter protection.

When fully mature, Agapanthus 'Double Diamond' ® can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing or east–facing or south–facing aspect and sheltered positions. It thrives best in chalk or loam or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
