Cotoneaster horizontalis (wall cotoneaster) is a member of the Rosaceae family. This deciduous shrubs exhibits a trailing growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H7 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Cotoneaster horizontalis can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing,east–facing,south–facing,north–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun position.
