Euphorbia myrsinites (broad-leaved glaucous spurge) is a member of the Euphorbiaceae family. This perennial exhibits a trailing growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) and is hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. Many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk.
When fully mature, Euphorbia myrsinites can reach an ultimate height of 0.0–0.1 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing or west–facing or east–facing or south–facing aspect and exposed or sheltered positions. It thrives best in chalk or clay or loam or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun.
