Thalictrum delavayi 'Album' (Chinese meadow rue 'Album') is a member of the Ranunculaceae family. This perennial exhibits a clump forming, columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – very cold winter (-20 to -15ºc) – hardy throughout the UK and northern Europe. Many plants grown in containers will be damaged unless given protection.
When fully mature, Thalictrum delavayi 'Album' can reach an ultimate height of 1.5–2.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers east–facing, west–facing, south–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk, clay, loam soil types and should be placed in a partial shade position.
