Polystichum braunii (Braun's holly fern) is a member of the Dryopteridaceae family. This ferns exhibits a clump forming growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen or semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.
When fully mature, Polystichum braunii can reach an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metres and a spread of 0.5–1 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,east–facing,west–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure. It thrives best in clay,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade,partial shade position.
