Trachelospermum jasminoides (star jasmine) is a member of the Apocynaceae family. This climbers exhibits a climbing growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H4 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Trachelospermum jasminoides can reach an ultimate height of 8–12 metres and a spread of 4–8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing,south–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
