Epimedium x versicolor 'Sulphureum' (barrenwort 'Sulphureum') is a member of the Berberidaceae family. This perennials exhibits a growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H7 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Epimedium x versicolor 'Sulphureum' can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing,south–facing,north–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full shade,full sun,partial shade position.
