Corylus colurna (Turkish hazel) is a member of the Betulaceae family. This trees exhibits a columnar upright growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H6 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Corylus colurna can reach an ultimate height of Higher than 12 metres and a spread of Wider than 8 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers north–facing,east–facing,south–facing,west–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure.
