Molinia caerulea ssp. caerulea 'Moorhexe' (purple moor-grass 'Moorhexe') is a member of the Poaceae family. This grasses exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its deciduous foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H7 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Molinia caerulea ssp. caerulea 'Moorhexe' can reach an ultimate height of 0.1–0.5 metres and a spread of 0.1–0.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers south–facing,north–facing,west–facing,east–facing aspect and exposed,sheltered exposure.
