Hamamelis x intermedia 'Arnold Promise' (witch hazel 'Arnold Promise') is a member of the Hamamelidaceae family. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc) and is hardy through most of the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. For optimal growth, it prefers a south–facing, west–facing, north–facing, or east–facing aspect and an exposed or sheltered position. It thrives best in clay, loam, or sand soil types and should be placed in full sun or partial shade.
