Hypericum x hidcoteense 'Hidcote' (St John's wort 'Hidcote') is a member of the Hypericaceae family. This evergreen shrub exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its semi evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of hardy – cold winter (-15 to -10ºc), and is hardy through most of the uk even in severe winters. may not withstand open or exposed sites or central / northerly locations. many evergreens suffer foliage damage and plants in pots will be at increased risk. .

When fully mature, Hypericum x hidcoteense 'Hidcote' can reach an ultimate height of 1–1.5 metres and a spread of 1–1.5 metres.
