Trachycarpus fortunei (Chusan palm) is a member of the Arecaceae family. This evergreen shrubs exhibits a bushy growth habit and is characterized by its evergreen foliage. It has a hardiness rating of H5 and no significant fragrance.

When fully mature, Trachycarpus fortunei can reach an ultimate height of Higher than 12 metres and a spread of 1.5–2.5 metres. For optimal growth, it prefers west–facing,south–facing,east–facing aspect and sheltered exposure. It thrives best in chalk,loam,sand soil types and should be placed in a full sun,partial shade position.
